Many thanks for your interest in working for the London Borough of Croydon. Croydon is the largest and certainly one of the most diverse boroughs in London and as such has many unique challenges and exciting opportunities.
The Performance and Efficiency team sits in the heart of the Corporate Centre and has a pivotal role to play in supporting the organisation to provide efficient and effective value for money services. Our aim as an organisation is to provide excellent services to our residents and businesses within the borough and hence ensure excellent customer satisfaction. The new Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) is enabling us to make Croydon a better place to live and work through the closer working relationships with our partner organisations such as the PCT, Metropolitan Police and the voluntary sector.
The Performance and Efficiency Team works closely with all service departments across the organisation to support these aspirations and assist the Council to focus on improved services, more efficient ways of working and enhancing customer satisfaction. The team provides corporate information on the new National Indicator set, supports the new CAA process and works with departmental teams to develop the performance framework for the organisation allowing improved performance management. A major part of the team's role is in supporting reviews of current services and service improvement initiatives, assisting in developing business cases for possible new initiatives and undertaking strategic projects. As such the role of the team is varied and challenging and involves close liaison with senior managers across the organisation. It is therefore a high profile team which is potentially involved in some of the most exciting developments that the Council is undertaking.
